Ponakovs Out after Rezaei Catches Bluff

With two players seeing a board of 7?8?10?3?3? and roughly 70,000 already in the middle, Daniel Rezaei had checked out of position and after using one time extension Aleksejs Ponakovs but 70,000, leaving only 11,000 behind. Rezaei made the call.

Ponakovs could only show K?J? for a bluff while Rezaei tabled K?10? for two pair, tens and threes to take down a massive pot and leave Ponakovs with just over five big blinds. Ponakovs would bust shortly afterwards.

Before the hand, Albert Daher was explaining to Mikita Badziakouski the terms of his prop bet with Gha Iakobishvili.

"What's the most you can win in one hand," Badziakouski asked.

"Six-three of hearts, three in the middle. So 22K," Daher replied.

"Got to adjust your ranges now," Badziakouski joked.

"We play a gentleman's game," Daher said.

Daher and Iakobishvili then went heads-up to a flop of 5?J?7?. "I bet 13.5," Daher said.

"Why," Iakobishvili joked as he called from the big blind. The turn came the 3? and Daher bet another 27,500 from under the gun.

Iakobishvili quickly called and the 4? fell on the river. Daher then checked his cards before acting.

"You already checked them three times. Do you not remember what you have," Iakobishvili told him. Daher then bet 56,000.

"Check again," Iakobishvili joked before folding. "Okay, my friend. I'll let you have this one," Iakobishvili added, saying he had a straight.

Steve O'Dwyer joined the table shortly before this hand.

Daher Flushes Out Auzoux

Gregoire Auzoux opened to 4,000 from middle position and was called by Albert Daher in the hijack and Mikita Badziakouski in the big blind.

The flop came 10?4?2?. Badziakouski checked, Auzoux bet 8,000, Daher raised to 20,000, Badziakouski folded and Auzoux moved all in for roughly 50,000. Daher snap-called with a covering stack.

Auzoux was ahead with an overpair but Daher had outs in the form of a flush draw and live ace. The Q? river gave Auzoux a set but Daher the nut-flush. The board failed to pair on the 9? river and Auzoux became the next to hit the rail while Daher took down a healthy pot.

Rezaei Doubles Off Martirosian Again

With around 35,000 already in the middle on a board of A?Q?4?5?, Artur Martirosian bet 22,000 from under the gun before Daniel Rezaei moved all in for 88,000 in the big blind.

Martirosian called with A?K?, but Rezaei had A?5? for two pair and held on through the 10? river to earn another double up through Martirosian.

Martirosian got some of those chips back the next hand. Heads-up with Enrico Camosci on a board of K?8?Q?J?, Martirosian called a bet of 10,000 as the 5? fell on the river.

Camosci, on the button and covering nearly his entire face with the collar of his shirt, then fired out 28,000. Martirosian finally looked up from the game he was playing on his phone as he tanked for nearly a minute before calling.

Camosci showed 10?7? for a missed straight draw, while Martirosian had K?9? for a pair of kings to win the pot.

Albert Daher's absence from the tournament didn't last long as he recently reentered. Victoria Livschitz also took her seat in the event.
