Massive Pot for Petrangelo

Nvel 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Nick Petrangelo raised to 18,000 from the cutoff and with no small blind in play, Justin Bonomo defended from the big blind. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Bonomo checked to Petrangelo who continued for 34,000. Bonomo check-raised to 86,000 and Petrangelo just called.

The turn brought the {k-Diamonds} and Bonomo led out for 100,000 which Petrangelo called. The river was the {10-Hearts} and Bonomo moved all in, putting Petrangelo to the test for his remaining 291,000. Petrangelo slid out three time banks, indicating he would need some time to think this one through. He eventually made the call and Bonomo tabled {6-Spades}{4-Spades} for an eight-high straight but Petrangelo showed {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a ten-high straight.

Talal Eliminated, Haxton Re-Enters

Nvel 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

It appeared that Talal Shakerchi got the last of his chips in the middle preflop from under the gun and was up against Igor Kurganov in the big blind. The two players were off to the races with Shakerchi showing {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Kurganov with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {10-}{6-}{5-}{5-}{5-} to give Kurganov a full house and send Shakerchi to the registration desk.

Isaac Haxton quickly re-joined the field with a fresh stack of 250,000 chips.

Double KO for Chidwick

Nvel 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Seth Davies opened to 13,000 in the cutoff and Stephen Chidwick just called on the button. Isaac Haxton shipped all in for 60,000 in the big blind and Davies did the same for about 171,000. Chidwick asked for a count and then called to put both players at risk.

Stephen Chidwick: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Seth Davies: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Isaac Haxton: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The flop of {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} gave Chidwick the best hand with a pair of tens but still had cards he needed to dodge. The turn was the {3-Spades} but nobody had a spade in their hand. The river brought the {8-Diamonds} and Chidwick scooped everything to eliminate Haxton and Davies.

Dvoress Can't Push Eibinger Off

Nvel 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a board reading {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}, Matthias Eibinger led out for 17,000 from the small blind. Cary Katz called in the big blind and Daniel Dvoress raised to 60,000 in the hijack. Eibinger called and Katz quickly folded.

The river was the {j-Hearts} and both players quickly tapped the table. Eibinger showed {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Dvoress was unable to beat it.

Weird Hand Between Badziakouski and Nitsche

Nvel 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

At the end of the last level, Mikita Badziakouski and Dominik Nitsche got involved in a pot that saw all kinds of twists and turns. The flop read {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Nitsche checked to Badziakouski who bet 5,000. Nitsche check-raised to 25,000 and Badziakouski re-raised to 50,000. Nitsche called and the {9-Spades} landed on the turn.

Nitsche led out for 50,000 this time and Badziakouski just called to see the {j-Spades} on the river. Nitsche checked now and Badziakouski bet 150,000. Nitsche used up two time extensions before finally making the call.

"Ace-five?" Badziakouski announced, a bit unsure of the strength of his hand. Nitsche nodded as Badziakouski turned over {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts} to collect the pot.
