Who Will Survive the Terminator to Become a WSOP Champion?

Brandon Shack-Harris looks to extend his POY lead.
Brandon Shack-Harris looks to extend his POY lead.

For the past two days, Event #4 AU$1,650 No-Limit Hold'em Terminator of the 2014 World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific has been playing out at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia.

What started with 250 players is now down to the final nine, which includes Brandon Shack-Harris, who has retaken the WSOP Player of the Year lead and looks to distance himself from both George Danzer and Daniel Negreanu.

Shack-Harris is guaranteed points, but he no doubt has his second gold bracelet of the year on his mind. However, to capture it he'll have to go through some tough competition including chip leader Nelson Maccini, who won a monster pot early on Day 2 when he flopped top set against an overpair and then used that momentum to rocket to a stack of 266,800.

Andrew Dales (196,000) and Scott Calcagno (189,700) are the other two big stacks, while Shack-Harris will begin fourth in chips with 111,000.

Others returning include 2013 Aussie Millions runner-up Joe Cabret and Day 1 chip count Nick Piskopos.

Below is a look at how the final table stacks up. As you can see, Shack-Harris is the only non-Australian at the table.

Cards will be in the air at 12:10 p.m., which is a little over an hour from now. Of course the PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be providing hand-for-hand updates until a champion is crowned, so stay tuned!
