Jonas "LobyPewis" Mackoff has won his second WSOP Circuit Gold Ring after battling through more than 2,500 players to take it down. The total prize pool was more than 50% above guarantee, with $752,400 in total to play for. Of that, Mackoff pocketed $30,446 for first place, plus $40,694 extra in bounties along the way.
It's been a while since Mackoff won his first Ring in the 2012 WSOPC San Diego. He won $14,555 for that one, so this Ring was worth quite a bit more. Mackoff has over $1 million in live earnings, and is in Canada's top 100 all time money winners.

It took almost 10 hours to decide the fifth event in the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Super Circuit Online Series, but it only took an hour from the time registration opened to make the $500,000 guarantee. By the time registration closed after 3 hours and 15 minutes, 2,508 entries swelled the prize pool to $752,400.
GGPoker Team Russia member Anatoly Filatov was one of the players still alive when registration closed. Filatov chipped up just before the end of registration, and managed to hold on for a small cash of $575 plus $150 in bounties.
They were about four hours in when they burst through the money bubble. Matthew "Shermdog50" Sherman took the lead shortly after, and made a solid run into the end-game of the tournament, but ultimately finished in 38th for about $4,500 in total prizes.
They took about 8 hours total to make the final table, and lost two players quite quickly. They played seven-handed for more than half an hour as Mackoff and Aleksandr "leeel" Shepel built their stacks before "Skinny Pete" busted to Shepel in 7th. Four more eliminations quickly followed, setting up a grueling heads-up battle that went on for more than half an hour.
Shepel started heads up in the lead, but Mackoff quickly clawed his way back to even. The Canadian picked up another couple big pots, then took control with more than 55 million on a hand where he forced a check-fold from Shepel on the river, leaving the Russian just over 7 million behind.
Shepel fought back with a double, and managed to chip back up to almost 20 million, but ultimately couldn't survive against the onslaught of Mackoff. The final hand saw Shepel get it in with queen-jack against ace-king, and flopped a queen to take the lead. Mackoff found a king on the river for the win and his second ring.
Shepel won $13,805 in bounties throughout the game, making his combined score $44,174. Mackoff pocketed $71,140 in total, of which more than $40,000 was bounty.
Jonas "LobyPewis" Mackoff shoved the biggest stack, and Aleksandr "leeel" Shepel called it off.
