If You're Palihapitiya and You Know it, Clap Your Hands

Nvel 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Wai Cheng opened the pot to 52,000 from middle position, and Mike DeGilio spent a long while in the tank next door. He asked Cheng how much he was playing (425,000 behind), tanked some more, then folded. The table passed all the way around to Chamath Palihapitiya in the big blind. He quickly moved all in for 361,000 total, and Cheng, hating life right now, made the reluctant call for most of his own chips.

Showdown
Cheng: {7-Spades} {7-Hearts}
Palihapitiya: {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}

Dominated and suit-dominated, Cheng needed some help to avoid the crippling loss. The board ran out blanks, though, coming {5-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}, and that secures the double for Palihapitiya. He's back up to 758,000 now, while Cheng drops all the way down into the basement with just 116,000 chips left.
