Good News for Badih

Nvel 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Bounahra Badih opened for 230,000 from the cutoff seat, and it folded to Khoa Nguyen in the big blind who promptly reraised enough to put Badih all in. Badih gathered his remaining chips -- about 875,000 more -- and considered his situation.

"I guess I'm going to be all in with my favorite hand," he said, then with a little extra drama, added, "I'm... a-a-a-a-a-llll... i-i-i-i-inn."

Badih turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and Nguyen {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Badih walked several feet away from the table and stood with his back turned as the dealer delivered the community cards. The flop was {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}, and Ruben Visser called out to Badih that he was still good. The turn was the {7-Spades}, and Visser again relayed the news.

The river was the {9-Clubs}. "Unlucky," said Visser, and the table burst into laughter. Badih ran over and saw Visser was joking, and he chuckled as well.

Badih doubles to about 2.2 million, while Nguyen now has 5.1 million.
