Ilani Doubles Back Into the Lead

Nvel 40 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Florian Guimond raised to 5,000,000 in the small blind and Ran Ilani pushed all in for 28,200,000 in the big blind. Guimond snapped him off and the cards were tabled.

Ran Ilani: {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Florian Guimond: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Guimond was excited to see the hands preflop, but the flop of {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} gave Ilani two pair. Guimond had a straight draw but the {q-Hearts} on the turn left him drawing dead to the {3-Clubs} on the river.

Guimond Doubles Through Ilani

Nvel 40 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante
Florian Guimond
Florian Guimond

Florian Guimond raised and Ran Ilani re-raised all-in and was snap-called by Guimond. It was Guimond in the lead and at risk with {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} versus the {j-Spades}{8-Spades} of Ilani.

The flop of {j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} gave each player a pair, but Guimond still led.

The turn {5-Clubs} and the river {5-Spades} kept things the same and Guimond's pair of aces were the best to double up through Ilani.

Oleg Titov Eliminated in 4th Place ($94,028)

Nvel 40 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Ran Koller open-shipped all in for 9,600,000 from under the gun and Oleg Titov called from the big blind. Koller showed {a-Spades}{j-Spades} and Titov was behind with {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades} gave Koller a straight and Titov was drawing to a chop. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn and the {10-Hearts} on the river secured the double up for Koller, leaving Titov with just 600,000 chips.

In the next hand, Ran Ilani raised on the button and went heads-up with Titov. Ilani held {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} against the {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} of Titov. The board ran out {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} to give Ilani two pair and Titov was eliminated.

Kris Steinbach pushed his remaining few blinds into the middle from under the gun and was snap-called by Ran Koller in the big blind. It was Steinbach who held {k-Spades}{5-Clubs} and was all-in and needed help against Koller's {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

The dealer ran out the board of {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and things finished the way they began with Koller in front, and Steinbach was eliminated in 5th place and took home $71,457 in cash.
