Brian Taylor

Brian Taylor raised all in for a little over 3,000,000 from middle position and Narimaan Ahmadi called from the big blind.

Brian Taylor: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Narimaan Ahmadi: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Taylor was racing for his tournament life and fell behind after an ace appeared in the window on the {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop.

The {8-Diamonds} turn left Taylor needing a queen but the {3-Hearts} completed the board on the river and ended his tournament.

Blais Eliminates Harder

Nvel 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Christian Harder pushed his last remaining chips into the middle and was all-in pre-flop versus William Blais.

It was Harder at risk with {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} versus the {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts} held by Blais.

The dealer flopped the {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Blais remained in the lead.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and things stayed status quo.

The river card was the {j-Clubs} and Blais took it down with a pair of treys, ace-high, and was awarded the pot, which eliminated Harder from the tournament.

Uzunov Rivers Straight For Ginormous Pot

Nvel 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Chips WSOP 2021
Chips WSOP 2021

The flop read {5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Tommaso Briotti bet 320,000. Ivan Uzunov moved all in, having Briotti slightly covered as both players had healthy stacks.

Briotti went into the tank and took over a minute before he called.

Tommaso Briotti: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Ivan Uzunov: {4-Spades}{3-Spades}

Briotti was ahead but would need to fade the open ender. The turn was the {3-Clubs} to pair Uzunov and give him a few more outs. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and just like that Uzunov slayed Briotti as the counts were confirmed by the dealer.

Briotti stood up, shaking his head as if he could not believe what just happened looking dazed and like he had just received a physical blow to the head. He slowly wandered over to payouts as his tournament was suddenly over after having a big stack not long ago. Meanwhile Uzunov surged to the chip lead.

Davis Survives His All-in Versus Norton

Nvel 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

The hand was discovered on a board of {8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and Chad Norton having shoved all-in for around 1,600,000 effective. Gene Davis tanked for a few, but eventually opted to make the call, and his tournament life was at risk.

"Good call", said Norton, as the cards were turned face-up.

It was a good call indeed as Davis held {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair of queens and a heart flush draw against the {k-Spades}{9-Clubs} for king-high held by Davis.

The river card was a {q-Diamonds} and improved the winning hand to trip queens for Davis, and he survived his all-in chipped up to a solid 4,350,000 chips.

Nvel 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Action quickly folded to Ari Mezrich who raised all in from the small blind and Mathieu Papineau looked him up from the big blind.

Ari Mezrich: {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Mathieu Papineau: {q-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Mezrich was behind holding live cards but was left drawing dead after the {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop gave Papineau a full house.

The board completed with the {a-Clubs} turn followed by the {k-Clubs} river and ended Mezrich's tournament.

Action was caught on the river as the board read {3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}. There was a large pot in the middle. Omer Gabay moved all in and Jordyn Miller called.

Gabay showed the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} for a flopped set of aces while Miller had the {k-}{k-} and watched as a large portion on his stack went across the table to Miller.
