Reard Gets Aggressive in Consecutive Hands

Nvel 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Thats the line Alexandre Reard appeared to take after raising in position in consecutive hands. It didnt work on the previous hand when he raised on the button, only to be pushed out by Andres Korns three-bet out of the big blind.

But the WSOP bracelet winner got it done on the very next hand.

Reard raised to 450,000 from the cutoff with A?8?, and saw the button and small blind fold. Valentino Konakchiev was in the big blind and defended with 9?6?.

The flop saw 9?A?Q? on the board, which Konakchiev checked. Korn bet 325,000 and Konakchiev called. The turn produced 10? and another check from Konakchiev.

With the door open, Korn fired 550,000 in the pot to force his opponent to fold.
