Hellmuth Can Still Fold

Azusa Maeda
Azusa Maeda

The quiet Azusa Maeda just raised to 18,000 from the under the gun position. Action got folded to Hellmuth who was in the big blind, and after counting down his chips numerous times he decided to raise to 54,000. "All-in," Maeda declared within a second and Hellmuth, who still had his headphones on, didn't realize this right away.

"He's all-in?," Hellmuth asked when the dealer pulled in his raise and after getting confirmation he decided to quietly fold.

Hellmuth is all the way down to 72,000 chips and in serious need of a double up.

Allain Getting On Top Of Hellmuth

Adrien Allain is letting his poker do the talking for him and it is getting on Phil Hellmuth's nerves.

Allain raised to 20,000 on the button and Phil Hellmuth clicked it back from the big blind and Allain called. The flop was {Q-Spades} {J-Spades} {8-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Hellmuth bet 25,000 and Allain called. The river was the {7-Clubs} and Hellmuth checked again and Allain made a tiny bet of 20,000. Hellmuth rose from his seat and started talking to himself before making the call. Allain showed {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and Hellmuth mucked.

"So dead, so dead… what does it feel like to smack the deck like that every time? I have you dead every time…I make you put your money in with jack-nine…but don't worry I will make you put your money i again real soon," said Hellmuth.

"You wanna play poker? Let's play poker!" Hellmuth just shouted at Adrien Allain who keeps getting the best of him. Hellmuth raised from the button to 20,000 and after Maeda folded it was Allain's turn. The young Frenchman grabbed chips right away and three-bet to 50,000 and that's when the fireworks started.

After Phil ranted for a while he ending his speech with, "So bet it. Either I've got all your chips or I'll be out soon".

Hellmuth is the short stack after Kastle busted out and he will need a double up soon to keep his 12th bracelet dreams alive.
