Only 14 Players Remain in MONSTER STACK, Who Will Come Out on Top?

All In
All In

When play was halted on Day 2 of Event #5: 1,100 MONSTER STACK No-Limit Hold'em, there were only 14 players still in contention for the WSOP gold bracelet. They will all return to the felt at 2:00 PM today with one goal in mind...win!

One of the biggest storylines among the remaining players is the father-son combo of Luiz Ferreira and Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho (Luiz Duarte). The father, Ferreira, has some work to do as one of the short stacks with 510,000 chips but his son, Duarte, has put himself in prime position as the chipleader heading into the final day. Duarte accumulated a massive stack of 4,350,000 and players have been acknowledging how well he plays a big stack.

It won't be easy for the Ferreira family though with 14 players still remaining and many of them accomplished in their own right. Timur Margolin currently sits in second place with 4,110,000 and already has one gold bracelet to his name. Margolin has already tasted victory at the World Series of Poker and that could prove to be a huge advantage when the tournament nears the end. Raul Henriquez (2,810,000), Andrei Konopelko (2,360,000), and Alexandre Viard (2,180,000) round out the top five stacks.

The players will return to their seats at 2:00 PM, a little earlier than scheduled, in the hopes of reaching a final table by the time the live stream kicks off at 3:00 PM. A new redraw will occur when just 10 players are remaining and the hole cards will be shown for the final eight. The action will resume on level 25 with the blinds at 20,000/40,000 and a 40,000 big blind ante.

There is still plenty of money up for grabs with the biggest pay jumps still to come. Each of the final 14 players is guaranteed to walk away with at least 5,513 while the winner will take home 134,407. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on site to bring you all of the live updates until a winner is crowned.
